Value Punks is a publication focused on global stock research. Our mission is to provide independent, institutional-grade research in an easy-to-read format on the most interesting stock ideas.

Every month, you can expect one deep-dive research on a global stock idea. This is our flagship content. There will also be a variety of intermittent posts in between, on relevant investment topics like thought pieces on macro/governance and industry/market primers.

Oh and by the way, that picture (or NFT!?) is Warren Buffett as a crypto punk!

Value Punks was founded by Balkar Sivia and Daye Deng, former buy-siders with 20 years of combined global equity research experience. They now run their (separate) investment management practices.

Balkar has spent a decade investing globally, in the US, Indian, and other Emerging Markets. Balkar is a CFA charterholder and has a degree in electrical engineering from University of British Columbia. Linkedin and Twitter

Daye is an Asia equities specialist. He is fluent in Japanese and Mandarin, and also has a keen interest in the technology sector. Daye is a CFA charterholder and has a degree in mathematics from the University of Toronto. Linkedin and Twitter

We are first and foremost investment managers - not professional writers or financial bloggers - and we started this research newsletter with the goal of connecting with a global audience of like-minded allocators. Those who appreciate a variant, deeper and more nuanced stock analysis.
